MediaTek, which has played a big and important role in China and world’s smartphone development, are trying to climb the ladder to become the world's third largest mobile chipset manufacturer. This chipset company aims to reach the top of the SoC food chain, with its first plan to be releasing its most powerful Helio lineup of SoCs, which target at taking on Samsung's Exynos 7420 and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 for the high end and mid-range smartphones. MediaTek's MT6797 (codenamed Helio X20) could possibly be the world's first 10-core processor for most powerful high end smartphones and tablets. And the MT6755, which was released in 2015 and will be used in upcoming 2016 most powerful smartphones, is the second fastest SoC in Helio lineup.

MT6755 (Helio P10) Detailed Specifications

Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10 processor will use TSMC’s HPC+ 28nm process. It packs a 2GHz, True Octa-core 64-bit Cortex-A53 CPU and a 700MHz, Dual-core 64-bit Mali-T860 GPU. This octa core processor will pack enough punch to render the Full HD (1080p) resolution on smartphone displays, along with support for a 21 megapixel single camera sensor or 16MP + 8MP dual camera with the world’s first TrueBright ISP engine for greater sensor light capture, enhanced color resolution, and less than 200ms shot-to-shot delay.
