Compare THL W200S and ZOPO ZP998 for Processor

Like the Doogee Dagger DG550 introduced in the last review, both the two smartphones adopt the same processor from MediaTek, MT6592, which is a ‘true octa-core’ smartphone platform based on the energy-efficient ARM Cortex-A7 processor. This chipset is based on 28nm HPM (high-performance mobile) process technology, and its eight cores are fully scalable and capable of clock speeds up to 2GHz for excellent performance-per-Watt. The algorithm used in MT6592 also monitors temperature and power consumption to ensure the processor’s optimum performance at all times. MT6592 processor also features a quad-core ARM Mali graphics engine, ARM Mali-450, with a Full HD display controller and 16-megapixel camera support.

In the connectivity aspect, MT6592 supports multi-mode cellular modems: UMTS / HSPA+ R8 / TD-SCDMA / EDGE / LTE, so both THL W200S and ZOPO ZP998 supports 3G networks at most, but the two smartphones will support different 3G frequencies: THL W200S supports 850 and 2100 MHz, while ZOPO ZP998 supports 900, 1900 and 2100 MHz.

Except the same processor, the two 3G smartphones have many different features, like memory. Comparing the two smartphones’ Random access memory (RAM), ZOPO ZP998 might have a faster running speed, while THL W200S have a larger internal storage for more photos, files and etc.

Compare the two 3G Smartphones for Screen

THL W200S features a 5 inch HD screen made of IPS technology and Corning III Gorilla Glass, and ZOPO ZP998 is a bit larger, featuring a 5.5 inch FHD screen that uses Gorilla Glass as well, but the screen of ZOPO ZP998 uses LTPS technology. In the screen aspect, ZOPO ZP998 make full use of MT6592 processor’s performance for a bigger screen size and higher screen resolution.

Another point that ZOPO ZP998 is better than THL W200S. As indicated above, MT6592 processor supports 16 megapixels camera, but THL W200S only make use of the half, the rear camera is 8 MP with a 5 MP front camera; the ZOPO ZP998 is much better, with a 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera.

Compare THL W200S and ZOPO ZP998 for Battery

THL W200S has a bigger battery of 2600mAh than ZOPO ZP998 of 2400mAh so the former 3G smartphone will have a longer battery life.

Above shows the detailed comparing for the two 3G smartphones, THL W200S and ZOPO ZP998, of course, each phone has its own merits. And if you have not decided which is better for your smartphone brand, you may read below suggestions for consideration.

M8 is also a 3G smartphone, but it equips with a quad core processor that comes from MediaTek as well, MT6580. It is a two SIM device as well that support 3G networks of 2100 MHz and 850 MHz. It features a 5 inch HD screen with full lamination and capacitive touch screen technology. And it has thickness of 7.2mm, ultra slim. The biggest feature different from most 3G smartphones is that M8 supports touch-for-pictures function, really good feature for selfie.

M16 runs on the same SoC like M8, MT6580, but supports more 3G networks: band 1/2/5 (850/1900/2100 MHz) or band 1/2/8 (900/1900/2100 MHz). But for global B2B buyers who want to purchase a suitable 3G smartphone for relabeling with their company or brand logo, M16 is really a good recommendation, for its really excellent features: 5 inch HD screen with on-cell full lamination technique and 2.5D arc double-sided glass; ultra slim body with just 6.75 mm thickness and a metal middle frame. M16 is absolutely one of the best 3G smartphones for OEM in the future trend.
